Programme: Presentation of the work and facilities as well as prison products. The event also celebrates the 20th anniversary of Ylitornio Prison. The prison was established on 18 April 1997.

Main event at the Training Institute for Prison and Probation Services

Programme: Possibility to meet several experts of the prison and community sanction work and a detection dog as well as to buy prison products. A drawing competition for children and refreshments. Music performances as well as tours of the training facilities and the Uusimaa Community Sanctions Office between the scheduled events.

Mikkeli Prison
Address: Päiviönkatu 1, Mikkeli
Time: 26 August at 12-15
Programme: Short prison tour and presentation of the prison. The tour includes stairs. The tour is carried out in small groups divided beforehand and lasts about 20-30 minutes. The first 100 registered people are admitted. Advance registration is required. The prison informs the registered visitors of the exact time between 12 and 15 when the visit takes place.

The registration requires the person’s name and date of birth. Only for adults. Visitors have to be sober and bring a photo identification with them. At the prison gate, the visitors go through a metal detector; therefore, please avoid carrying any metal objects to speed up the inspection. The prison reserves the right not to let a registered visitor inside the prison.

Time: 1st group at 10.30−12.00 and 2nd group at 12.30−14.00
Programme: Prison tour, demonstration of detection dog work and possibility to buy prison products.
The first 200 registered people are admitted.

Programme: Presentation of the work of the whole combined unit, i.e. Vanaja Unit, Häme Community Sanctions Office and Ojoinen Unit. Brief information about the combined unit and the work with female prisoners at 11, 12 and 13. The prison shop is open during the event. Coffee served during the event.
