Online services in open prisons
In an open prison, you may be granted permission to use a shared online workstation meant for prisoners. You have to apply for new permission every time you need to use it.
You can use the shared online workstation to access common online services to manage your personal affairs such as pay your bills online, print documents from the websites of different public authorities, communicate with people close to you via Skype, etc.
If you want to use the shared online workstation, you will need the user identifications and passwords of the online services you use. You can use the shared online workstation to communicate with certain authorities via the web service Suomi.fi Messages.
The prison staff can help you with the use online services. The shared online workstations are not meant as entertainment or pastime and their use is monitored.
