Activities

In Sukeva Prison, prisoners can work in the metal industry, where they can also complete a vocational upper secondary qualification or parts of it. Some prisoners repair tents and helmets for the Finnish Defence Forces, while others participate in cleaning, clothing maintenance or property maintenance.

Prisoners can complete basic education and general upper secondary education studies or take part in education preparing for a qualification, which is organised by an external education provider.

Individual and group rehabilitation activities support prisoners in leading a life free from crime and substance abuse. The prison offers activities that promote everyday life skills or address intimate partner violence and other violent behaviour independently or in cooperation with external partners both remotely and in the prison.
